congratulations on getting your degree - that is quite a achievement!!!

are you scared about going into the army? i know that i would be - good thing i live in america and i'm a girl!
Thank you very much!!!

Actually I am not scared. It's something that I have to do in order to move on with my life. Besides, Greek boys are raised knowing that some day they will have to go to the army, so I am used to the idea.

I will try to keep posting my impressions from my military days!

Congratulations on these thigns so many others, my friend! You are right to get this over with and put it behind you. We look forward to your return.

I have a new friend named Connie who wants to learn the Greek alphabet. She is learning to spell her name. I will give her the link to your blog and you hers....

Talk tomorrow. I will have those questions.

Patricia, many thanks :D

Yes, would you please check out my Greek spelling name if you have time? Many thanks! :)
Hey Connie, thanks for stopping by! For your name to sound the same in Greek as in English, you could write it like this: Κόννη or Κόννι or Κόννει or Κόννυ or Κώνη or Κώνυ, etc. As you can see there is a great selection and it's a matter of personal taste which one you will use.

Personally I prefer Κώνη. It seems more proper.
Thanks a lot for the help! :D
Ah. Nico told me Ka v v i . Kappa, alpha, nee, ipsilon. I am SO glad you chose something different. He is always rubbing my nose in it that he speaks Greek better than I do! Now, I can prove that he makes mistakes, too! Thanks, Ilia! ; D
Well Nico told you to write the name as it sounds with Greek characters. Just pronounce the name and you will understand that there is a glimpse of "a" at the beginning.

I think it could help if we had her full name. "Connie" is a short version of a name, right?
No, I was named Connie by my parents even though it's a short form of "Constance", but I am Connie and not Constance :) So it's just perfect!

How about Connie Wong?
I know, I was just teasing. In fact, he was just in my office and I showed him this communication. And now, i'm off to buy the newspaper. My publicist just phoned to tell me there is an article about me and our magazine is named right on the front page!
